History may not be my favorite subject, but...
By Cassady Brunette
This textbook is excellent. The chapters are broken up conceptually rather than chronologically so each chapter has a concrete and salient topic. The writing is fairly clear and unambiguous, and the text covers material from a variety of viewpoints. All in all, the book covers a fairly comprehensive range of material with quality content.

Had to read for a class. I read it from cover to cover, but it was extremely dry, and dull. It had lots of good info, but it was a typical textbook.
