Physical Quality Is absolutely terrible

I'm giving this two stars ONLY because of how terrible the physical quality of this book is. It appeared as if EVERYONE in my class was having a problem with this textbook. Either single pages would fall out or for me, huge chunks of pages would fall out. I keep my textbooks in good quality and like to sell them again. I have NEVER had a problem like this with a textbook. If you need this for a class just be aware that you will most likely NOT be able to resell.
Other than that the actual contents of the book were ok. I never got deep into this book or the class, it was an elective for me.

Good book, hate that its unbound

I dislike unbound books entirely! I know that it is to save consumers money by having them bind it, but I would rather pay just a bit more and have a soft cover. It is nerve wracking when I do my work to flip through delicate pages that could tear our due to a lack of reinforcing. I thought it unfair to dock the book any more stars just because of the binding issue, but it is something to consider!
The book is good and I like the artists that the author has chosen to example work by. There are also references to online sources to further discuss artists and I enjoy the link to continue at points of interest if I chose.
I have learned about a lot of new things and it must be written well because many concepts are sticking! visuals are always helpful and many of the artists work and analysis's are very interesting!
I am enjoying the class and the book more than I thought I would,
has less of a stuffy feel to it!

Nice book, but overpriced

Very frustrating to pay the asking price for this book, but the buyback is $14.00??? The book itself is very nice, full of illustrations and excellent information but they need to rethink the pricing. Also, the cover is neat to look at when new but the corners easily bend after some use. Would be better as a hard back. I guess we have a new coffee table book at this buy back price. I'd be glad to sell mine for 1/2 of what they are asking. It is in excellent condition. Try to talk your instructors into saving you money and not requiring this book.
